Derech Emunah Bacharti Magnet

This was the message Agam Berger proudly displayed on the whiteboard during her helicopter flight to the hospital after being released.

Translation:
“I chose the path of faith, and through the path of faith I returned. Thank you to the people of Israel and our heroic IDF soldiers—there are none like you in the world!”
(Based on Tehillim 119:30 – “דֶּרֶךְ אֱמוּנָה בָחָרְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ שִׁוִּיתִי”)

The phrase “Derech Emunah Bacharti – I chose the path of faith” became Agam’s mantra before she was taken captive and, she said, definitely carried her through the darkest hours of her 482 day captivity in Gaza. Simultaneously, this was Merav Berger’s guiding light and clarion call to advocate for her daughter, inspiring countless people to believe and take on mitvot.

I chose the path of faith, and through faith I came home. Always and forever.
